PANETTA, Dominick M. Sr., 91, of Westville, NJ passed away on September 29, 2011.
Legacy
An outgoing, talkative gentleman, Dominick made friends quickly and genuinely loved to be around people. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed taking rides to Red Bank Battlefield Park, National Park, to sit by the riverside.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Dominick was a resident of Westville for the past 60 years. He was a United States Marine Veteran of World War II where he served from 1943-1946 and was at the raising of the American Flag at Iwo Jima. He was one of the founding families of St. Anne's RC Church in Westville and very active in the parish. He was a former member of the Men's Club, the Choir and volunteered with Bingo for thirty years.

Beloved husband of 70 years to Elizabeth A. (nee Carchidi); loving father of Kathleen (Joseph) Pierzynski, Anndrienne (Harry) Watts and Dominick M. Panetta, Jr.; devoted grandfather of 5, great grandfather of 2 and great great grandfather of 1; dear brother of Angelina Grillone.
Farewell Service
Viewing on Tuesday, 9:00 – 9:50 AM at the St. Joachim Parish at St. Anne's RC Church, Rt 130 and Highland Avenue, Westville, NJ where the Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dominick's memory to the Alzheimers Association, South Jersey Chapter, 11000 Lincoln Drive West, Marlton, NJ 08053.
